I did not grow up celebrating Halloween. I have never been Trick or Treating. I did go to fall festivals at church and dress up, but Halloween just wasn’t a part of our family make up. And I can understand that and support my parents in that. However, I have to admit, Halloween is now one of my favorite holidays. Not so much the scary stuff. If you know me at all you know that I cannot stand scary stuff. So, all the horror film marathons that are going on are probably not something to invite me over to participate in. However, if you want me to help you plan a party or cook something with a pumpkin theme, than I am your girl.
I love this time of year for a lot of reasons; football, cooler weather, all the holidays, time with family and friends, and of course, PUMPKIN. I love all things pumpkin. I love the color. I love the flavor. I love the Starbucks coffee. I love the pumpkin seeds after we dig them out and Mom cooks them with salt and Mommy Yumminess.
