Dear Dad,

I really love you. You are such a good man and a really good dad. I appreciate you so much. And I know I don’t say that enough, but I do appreciate you and I do love you and you are a good dad.

Thanks for making us get up early every morning and for making us work on Saturdays. And thank you for the rules and the structure. It has given me a foundation for adulthood. I like working and I like getting up early. I may not have then, but my right now is good and structured because you gave me that foundation.

Thank you for showing me what it is to love Jesus. Seeing you in His word and hearing you talk to Him every day has shaped my spiritual life. You taught me how to talk to Jesus. From the little stuff like finding a parking space to the big stuff like peace like a river in my soul. And it’s so natural to have that all day conversation with Him. I am so grateful for you showing me what it was like to be loved by my Heavenly Father and what it was like to love and obey Him in return.

I love you just as you are and I am so glad that God chose you to be my Dad.
